MOOTS BICYCLE FACTORY, OFFICES AND RESIDENCES
STEAMBOAT SPRINGS - COLORADO
This high end bicycle factory had run out of space in their existing facility and decided to build a new one. The new and improved factory, increased their factory space and consolidated their operations by having their offices in the same building. To literally top it off apartments were added on the top floor for the employees.
The main factory space is on the ground floor that is partially two stories. The sales, administrative offices, employee brake room and kitchen are on the second floor. The third floor has three employee units that enjoy a great rooftop patio and zen rock garden.
The all metal structure reflects the activities that take place on the inside. Three different exterior metal sidings cut down the overall scale of the building. Window canopies are Teflon coated and the door handles on the front door are titanium.
To complete the theme an artificial mountain bicycle track surrounds the property. The track gives the employees and client’s opportunity to test out the all titanium bikes on site.
